Fritz Krüger’s unpublished field notebooks on Aragonese
Óscar Latas Alegre
Summary: The German philologist Fritz Krüger made a linguistic field trip in the spring of 1927 through the four regions in the Aragonese Pyrenees, from Graus to Ansó, collecting live speech data using the "Wörter und Sachen" methodology. These voices will be used in future publications, especially in his book Die Hochpyrenäen (1935-1939). The results of this philological expedition through thirty places are some notebooks, remaining unpublished in Argentina, which deserve a deeper study due to its importance for the Aragonese language historiography, its collection date and geographical extension.
In this paper we will present the surveys carried out in Ansó, Bielsa, Plan and Vió. There are, too, shorter information from Larrosa, Fanlo, Sallent de Gállego or Broto, places which have been much less studied, at least until now.
